Drug Uses
Penlac medicine is antifungal drug for onychomycosis of the nails (both finger and toenails). It contains 8% synthetic antifungal agent called ciclopirox. Penlac is prescribed for topical treatment only.
How Taken
Penlac comes as a lacquer with special brush applicator. Before you start using Penlac, remove any loose nail or nail material by means of nail clipper or nail files. Penlac is applied as a cosmetic lacquer all over your nail. After applying wait for about 30 seconds before putting any socks or start your daily duties. Mind that after you put Penlac, you must not take bath or shower for 8 hours. Bedtime use is preferable. Your doctor will prescribe you how long you should use Penlac, corresponding to you health condition. Use Penlac daily, for at least a couple of months for complete cure.
Missed Dose
If you miss your daily usage of Penlac, do it as soon as you have a chance to. Remember not to take bath or shower in the next 8 hours, once you apply the medicine on your nails.
Storage
Keep Penlac at a controlled room temperature from 59° to 86° F (15° and 30° C).Store where no children can reach it. Keep Penlac in its original packing and close it tightly.
Overdose
Overdose cases have not been registered. Overdose it not likely to occur. If you notice something unusual during treatment with Penlac, contact your doctor.
More Information
During treatment with Penlac do not use other cosmetic lacquer or other nail products. Note that Penlac is flammable and avoid heat or open flame for your best safety.

Penlac is very well adopted by the organism. In case you experience any side effects, they are most likely to be skin rash accompanied with redness, burning, blistering, oozing, itching and swelling.
