Product Description

Lamisil Oral Tablets are mainly prescribed in cases of onychomycosis of the fingernail or toenail caused by dermatophytes.

Before start taking Lamisil, your doctor will advise you how long you are supposed to take it and what dose is appropriate for you. In case of fingernail fungus, take 1 tablet per day for a period of 6 weeks. In case of toenail fungus take 1 tablet per day for 12 weeks period. If after treatment the disease is not completely gone, do not bother. It takes time until the new nail is fully grown.

To achieve best results, try not to miss your daily doses. In case it happens, take the missed tablet as soon as you can. If the time for the next scheduled dose has come, take only one. Do not overdose by trying to catch up.

Keep Lamisil Oral Tablets in its original packing. Do not expose on a direct light and heat. The best temperature for storage is below 25o C (77o F). Keep away from children.

There limited occasions connected with overdose registered. The possible symptoms of overdose include vomiting, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, rash, stomach upset and abdominal pain, frequent urination or headache. If you suspect overdose, seek medical attention immediately.

It is not recommended to drink alcohol during treatment with Lamisil. Both of them affect the liver, and a combination of them can lead to serious lever damages.

Safety Information

You are not supposed to take Lamisil Oral if you are suffering from any of the conditions listed below: shown allergies to Lamisil in the past, blood problems, kidney or liver disease, problems with the immune system. Require special dosage adjustment and monitoring during treatment if besides the diseases you take Lamisil. This medicine belongs to FDA pregnancy category B and it is not supposed to have bad influence upon an unborn baby. Lamisil passes into the breast milk and may affect the baby, so avoid taking this drug if you are breast feeder.

Side Effect

There are registered side effects during treatment with Lamisil. The more serious of them can be gathers here as: allergic reaction connected with closing of the throat, swelling of the face, lips and hives, rash and blood problems. Other side effects might be nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dark urine and clay colored stools. Lamisil may result in very severe problems with the liver causing liver transplant or even death.
