Drug Uses


Nirizal tablets are prescribed in case of funginal infection classified as candidiasis, chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis, hystoplasmosis and others. It is also advisable for recalcitrant infections. Do not take in case of fungal meningitis. Ask your doctor for other usages.


How Taken


Your doctor will decide what dose is proper for you. In general cases, it is prescribed one tablet per day until the problem fade away completely. It is possible to increase your dose and your treatment course, but only under doctor’s supervision.


Missed Dose


If you miss your daily dose, take it as soon as you remember on the same day (if taken once per day). If it is time for your next dose, take only one dose of Nizoral tablets and do not overdose. Overdosing is not advisable and can not increase the effect of the medicine.


Storage


Keep Nizoral at a dark and dry place, away from direct light, heat and moisture. Keep at a controlled room temperature between 15 and 25°C (59–77°F). Store where no children can reach it.


Overdose


Do not overdose with Nizoral tablets. If you overdose by accident, fist help as gastric lavage with sodium bicarbonate must be provided. Possible overdose symptoms include diarrhea, stomach problems and constipation, dizziness and drowsiness, headache, nausea and others. If you suspect overdose call you doctor for further support.


More Information


If is not recommended to drink alcohol during treatment with Nizoral. Alcohol in combination with this medicine increases the risk of liver problems.
