Zovirax does not cure entirely herpes infections and does not guarantee you that the herpes won`t appear again. How Taken
Zovirax is a topical medicine which should be applied 6 times a day for 7 days. Make sure that you have washed your hands before applying Zovirax. Do not smear the ointment with bear hands, use an applicator or a cotton swab to cover the affected infected areas. In this way you will avoid the spreading of the infection and the contraction of other body parts. The infected area should be covered completely with Zovirax topical. Try to keep the treated skin area always dry and clean. Avoid wearing tight clothes because they could rub the sore and cause irritation.
Keep the prescription schedule recommended by your doctor during the course of treatment with Zovirax. Do not exceed or decrease the daily Zovirax dose recommended by your doctor. Do not discontinue the Zovirax course at your discretion. It`s quite likely that you observe improvement during the first week of the treatment. This would be a positive sign but it does not mean that you have experienced the full effect of Zovirax. In such case keep your regular dose schedule and consult with your doctor.
Missed Dose
Follow the prescriptions of your doctor, only in this way the treatment would be effective. Apply the missed Zovirax dose as soon as you remember or skip it if it`s almost time for the next dose. Do not double dose to make it for the missed one. It could be harmful.
