Drug Uses
Denavir medicine is mainly prescribed for treatment of recurrent cold sores (herpes labialis) on the lips, lace or other areas. It comes as a topical cream. This medicine is recommended only for adults. Other usages of Denavir are also known, fully listed in the medicine guide.
How Taken
Denavir must be applied on the affected area every 2 hours during the day for a forth day period. Put the medicine on your finger or on a cotton swab and apply on the herpes. After applying wash out your hands with warm water and soap to prevent the spread of the virus. Keep away Denavir from your eyes and other non-effected areas.
Missed Dose
If using Denavir medicine try not to miss you scheduled doses. In case this happens, apply the cream as soon ad you remember it. If the time for the next appliance has come, do not put more cream of the effected area.
Storage
Keep Denavir at a room temperatute from 20° to 25°C (68° to77°) for best results. Store in a dry and dark place, where no children can reach it.
Overdose
If you suspect overdosing with Denavir, wash out the cream with water and contact your doctor. Overdosing is not considered to be life threatening.
More Information
Denavir has well tolerance with other medicines. For your best secure, ask your doctor if you take any other medicines, together with Denavir. Do not apply other topical treatment on the area, where you apply Denavir, unless otherwise prescribed from your doctor.

Possible Side Effects
Side effects during treatment with Denavir are possible to occur, but they are not a common case. They might be experienced like headache, numbness or tingling where the drug is applied, rash and skin irritation. More serious side effects were not registered. If you notice something unusual and embarrassing, contact your health provider.
