Product Description

Butalbital-APAP belongs to the barbiturates. It treats pain and acts relaxing. Butalbital-APAP contains caffeine and non-aspirin pain medication. The most common usage of this drug is in case of migraine, headache and muscles pain.

Butalbital-APAP comes is two shapes –as a tablet and as a capsule. Choose which one suit you better and take it orally with water. The common usage is to take a dose every 4 hours, unless something else prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than 6 tablets or capsules per day. It is not recommended to use this drug for a longer period, because your organism may get used to it and develop physical dependence.

In case it happens to miss a dose from Butalbital-APAP, take it as soon as you can. If the time for the next regular dose has come, take only one pill or capsule. Do not overdose by trying to catch up. Then turn back to your regular schedule.

Keep Butalbital-APAP in its original container. Put where no children can reach it. Keep at a temperature below 86° F (30° C).

Do not overdose by any case. Overdose can be fatally. The most probable overdose symptoms are confusion, loss of orientation, hallucinations, breath shortness, slurred speech or vomiting with blood. Do not mix Butalbital-APAP with alcohol or any depressants. Combining these substances may lead serious side effects and even death.

Before start taking Butalbital-APAP advise your doctor about your medical history. It is very important not to take this medicine in case you have taken monoamine oxidase (MAOI) in the previous 2 weeks. Possible mix with other drugs can lead to serious side effects. Advise your doctor if you plan to take any antidepressants, antihistamines, pain killers, anxiety drugs or sedatives.

Butalbital-APAP can influence bad in case you suffer from depression, or have suffered in the past, your health condition is not so stable, and you are over 60 years old. This medicine should be used cautiously when the patient have liver or abdominal problems. Ask your doctor if it is appropriate for you to take Butalbital-APAP in case you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or a breast feeder. It is known that Butalbital-APAP passes into the breast milk and can influence on the baby. This drug is possible to cause drowsiness, dizziness and lack of concentration. During treatment avoid driving, operating with heavy machines and performing hazard activities.

Side Effect

During treatment with Butalbital-APAP side effects can be expected. They can not be predicted. If you notice something bothersome and unusual about your heath condition, call your doctor immediately. It is most likely to experience dizziness, nausea, abdominal pain, sedation, light- headedness or vomiting. Another, less possible to appear side effects are difficult breathing, sudden and excessive sweating, agitation, allergic reaction, fatigue, fainting, fast hearth beat, energy flow, ringing in the ears or mental confusion. Conditions as hot spells, leg or arm pain, stuffy nose, tingling and fever can also be caused by Butalbital-APAP activity.
