Flexeril medicine is mainly prescribed when the patient has muscle strains, any sprains or injuries caused by sport activities. Flexeril is a pain killer, by which action the muscles are relieved. The main ingredient in its composition is Cyclobenzaprine.

Before start taking Flexeril, ask your doctor about special dosage adjustment and proper duration of the treatment. Follow your prescription very carefully. The regular daily dose should be 30 mg, which makes 3 times per 10 mg tablets. Do not take more than 6 tablets per day. It is recommended to take this drug on a full stomach, in order to avoid stomach upset.

Try not to miss your daily dose during treatment with Flexeril. In case it happens, take the missed pill as soon as you have the ability to. Do not try to catch up by taking more than prescribed at once. After that, turn to your regular schedule.

It is most appropriate to store Flexeril at a room temperature around 25°C (77°F). In extreme cases you can store up to 30°C. Keep away from children. Keep away from moisture and heat.

The most common and registered symptoms of overdose with Flexeril are difficult breathing, hallucinations, fast heartbeat, high temperature, sudden tiredness, restlessness and other mood changes. Another possible reflection of overdose can be muscle stiffness, seizures, and dizziness, vomiting and other. If you suspect overdose, seek medical attention immediately.

It is not recommended to take barbiturates, CNS depressants, to drink alcohol and take any illegal drug during treatment with Flexeril. They can worsen your health condition and influence on you badly.

Safety Information

Flexeril medicine can not be appropriate for everybody. The patients who suffer from glaucoma, any heart diseases or allergies, difficulty urinating and other more severe diseases may not take Flexeril. If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant during treatment or you are a breast-feeder, it is not recommended to take Flexeril.

Side Effect

During treatment with Flexeril are possible side effects to occur. If you experience any of the conditions listed below, contact your doctor immediately and seek medical attention: excessive heartbeat, dizziness, lightheadedness, swelling of the face, lips, hives and tongue, muscle stiffness, difficult urinating, skin rash and redness or itching. If you notice something bothersome and unusual, stop taking Flexeril and ask you doctor if it is appropriate to continue treatment. By slighter side effects like constipation, stomach upset and drowsiness, it is not necessary to stop taking Flexeril .Avoid hazard activities, because this drug may interfere on your concentration and alertness.
