Transderm Scop drug is prescribed in case of nausea, dizziness and vomiting which are caused by motion sickness. When taking this medicine have it mind that it belongs to the group of anticholinergics. How Taken
Transderm Scop comes in shape of patch which is applied directly to your skin. The patch should be put behind patient’s ear on a clear, dry and hairless area. The effect of Transderm Scop lasts for three days and after this period the patch must be removed and thrown away. Once the patch is used, wrap it in paper and throw it in the garbage, no second usage is possible. The patch should be put 4 hours before you will need it. The substances in Transderm Scop need time to be accepted from your organism and full relief to be achieved. When you remove the patch, wash your hands and clear the area where it was put.
Missed Dose
The effect of Transderm Scop patch lasts for three days and after this period it must be removed and replaced by new patch. If you forget to stick your new patch, do it as soon as you remember it. Never stick two patches at the same time to your skin.
Storage
Keep Transderm Scop in its original packing away from heat and moisture. Keep at a room temperature from 20°C up to 25°C (68°F - 77°F).
Overdose
Never overdose with Transderm Scop. Overdosing can not invigorate the effect of the medicine. Overdose symptoms include dizziness and drowsiness, seizures or convulsions, agitation and disorientation and even death. If you suspect overdose contact immediately your doctor.
More Information
Until you know how Transderm Scop drug reacts on you avoid driving, performing any hazard activities and operating with machines. This medicine may provoke dizziness and blurred vision and may interfere on your daily duties. Avoid drinking alcohol during treatment with Transderm Scop.

It is recommended not to use this drug if you are under the age of 18 years. Before start taking Transderm Scop tell your doctor if you have history in liver or kidney disease, difficult urinating, bladder problems enlarged prostate or glaucoma. You may not take this drug or need special adjustment if you suffer any of the conditions listed above. Transderm Scop belongs to pregnancy category C and it is know known if it harms an unborn baby. It is also not know if it passes into the breast milk. For you best safety and your baby’s safety do not take Transderm Scop if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or you are breast feeder. Do not give this medicine to children; they might be more sensitive to its contents like scopolamine.

It is possible to experience side effects during treatment with Transderm Scop. They are most likely to be allergic reaction with all the attendant features as swelling of the lips and face, closing of the throat and difficult breathing. In such case stop taking this drug. If you experience any of the symptoms listed below, continue your treatment with Transderm Scop but alarm your doctor about the side effects of it: insomnia, blurred vision, restlessness, vomiting, dry mouth and nose, headache, nausea, excitation and exceed nervousness, changes in the appetite and difficult urinating. If these conditions last for more than 3 days, stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor for further information. Other side effects not listed here are also possible.
