Drug Uses
Antivert belongs to antihistamine medicines group. Its reaction blocks the effects of the naturally produced chemical histamine in human body. Antivert is mainly used for treating nausea, vomiting, dizziness caused by motion sickness. It is also prescribed when treating vertigo and not only.
How Taken
Antivert is produced in tablets – usual and chewable. Choose which one suits better for you. Chew or swallow them with water or any other liquid. If you suffer from motion sickness, take one tablet 1 hour before you start to travel. You should continue to take a pill every 24 hours, if the traveling continues. For any other problems, like dizziness caused by ear condition, ask you doctor for special adjustment and follow strictly his/her directions. Do not take more or less Antivert, than prescribed.
Missed Dose
Since Antivert is usually taken as needed, missing a dose is usually not a problem. If you are taking Antivert on a regular schedule and you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take only your next regularly scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose of this medication.
Storage
For best storage, keep Antivert in its original container and keep it closed. Keep away from children. Keep at a room temperature from15° to 30°C (59°-86° F).
Overdose
Do not overdose, even if you think the dose you have taken is not enough for you. The symptoms of overdosing are strong drowsiness, hallucinations, very slow breathing and seizures. If you experience any of the listed symptoms, call you doctor immediately and seek for medical attention as soon as possible.

Taking Antivert can react with other medicines, in case you are using. Before start taking Antiver, ask your doctor if it is suitable for you. Used with other medicines like antidepressants, antihistamines, sedatives, alcohol, pain killers, muscle relaxants, anxiety medicines, you may experience drowsiness or dizziness. Antivert can also weaken the effect of the other drugs you are using. Antivert is not appropriate for patients, who has ever shown hypersensitivity to it.

Other less light side effects may occur, by which stop taking Antivert is not necessary: drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, dry mouth, insomnia, nervousness, constipation.
