It is recommended to avoid drinking alcohol during treatment. Do not drink grapefruit juice because it may provoke side effects.

Your doctor will decide if this medicine is suitable for you and your health condition. Lipitor belongs to FDA pregnancy category X which means it harms an unborn baby. If you are breast feeder do not take this drug. There is a chance Lipitor to pass into the breast milk and affect your baby. Side Effect

Side effects during treatment with Lipitor are not likely to occur. If you experience something bothersome and unusual, it is most likely to be: stomach pain and upset, diarrhea, cramps, constipation, blurred vision, headache, heartburn, dizziness and drowsiness, allergy symptoms and rash. Less serious side effects might be muscle pain, tenderness, sudden weakness and fever. If you are not feeling well during treatment and experience any of the conditions listed above, call your doctor immediately.
