Zithromax is an effective drug for treatment of the certain bacteria infections. Zithromax may be used for treatment of other infections as well, diagnosed by your doctor.

Keep Zithromax in its original packing at a room temperature between 59 – 86 °F (15 – 30 °C). Keep away from heat, moisture and direct light. Keep out of the reach of children.

The most significant symptoms of overdose with Zithromax include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal discomfort. If you suspect overdose call your doctor immediately or visit the local poison center.

Do not take Zithromax with alcohol or certain other drugs. Zithromax causes dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision or lightheadedness, and mixed with alcohol these feelings become stronger. Avoid performing any hazard activities before you have experienced how this drug reacts on you. Use Zithromax only if prescribed to you and do not give it to other people, even if the have the same symptoms as you have.

Safety Information

Before you start treatment with Zythromax, advise your doctor about your medical history. This medicine may not be appropriate for you in the following cases: allergy to Zythromax or any of its substances, kidney or liver problems, abnormal heart rhythms or any food allergies. Do not take Zythromax if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant during treatment of you are a breast feeder. This drug passes into the breast milk and may harm the baby. Zythromax must not be taken together with Pimozide. Tell your doctor if you are taking any other drugs at the moment, including nonprescribed medicines, herbal preparations, and dietary supplements. Be aware that Zythrmax increases the sensitivity to sun and it is recommended to avoid exposure to sun, sunlamps of tanning boots. This medicine may decrease the effect of birth control pills. During treatment with Zythromax back up method of contraception is required. If the patient is under the age of 16 years, use this medicine with caution. If you experience stomach pain or cramps, severe diarrhea or bloody stools occur, call your doctor immediately. Zythromax is effective only against bacteria. If the treatment continues too long, there is an option second infection to be caused. If you suspect second infection, advise your medical provider immediately.

Side Effect

It is possible to experience side effects during treatment with Zythromax. If you notice any of the conditions listed below, stop taking Zythtomax and call your doctor for further support : diarrhea, nausea, stomach upset, vomiting, allergic reaction, chest pain, dark red raised areas of the skin, bloody stools, hearing loss, ringing in the ears, yellowing of the skin or eyes.
