Product Description

Zoloft is designed to treat major depressive conditions and psychological disorders. Zoloft is quite effective in patients who experience depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder as well as a number of psychological problems caused by posttraumatic stress and heavy tension in the workplace. Zoloft is suitable for adults, adolescents (12 – 17 years of age) and children (6-12 years of age).

Zoloft is available in tablets for oral administration. One Zoloft pill is taken once a day. Consult with your doctor about the exact hour at which you should take the prescribed Zoloft dose. If you have chronic stomach problems, take Zoloft after meal in order to avoid stomach upset. Strictly follow the prescriptions of your doctor during the course of treatment with Zoloft. Do not exceed or decrease the daily Zoloft dose which was prescribed by your doctor. Do not discontinue the Zoloft treatment at your discretion. It`s quite likely that you feel better in the first weeks of the treatment. The improvement is encouraging but it does not always mean that you have been completely cured. In such case keep your regular dose schedule and consult with your doctor. Have in mind that if you have taken Zoloft for a longer period, you should not discontinue the treatment suddenly. If your doctor considers that you do not need Zoloft anymore, he would recommend you dose adjustment until your organism gets used to the lack of the medicine.

Stick to the prescriptions of your doctor. If you miss Zoloft doses, the results of the treatment won`t be as positive as expected.Take the missed dose as soon as you remember or skip it if it`s almost time for the next dose. Do not double dose to make it for the missed one. It could be harmful.

Keep Zoloft in dry and cool place, at room temperature around 25°C (77°F). Keep away of reach of children. Do not store outdated or no longer needed Zoloft packings.

Do not exceed the prescribed Zoloft dose. If you take more Zoloft pills than recommended, immediately stop taking Zoloft and consult with your doctor. The most common symptoms of Zoloft overdose are stomach upset (characterized by nausea, vomiting or diarrhea), disturbing moods change, hyperactivity, seizures. If you experience any of the following symptoms, immediately seek for emergency medical aid.

If you take Zoloft for the first time, it`s quite likely that you experience drowsiness or dizziness. In such case avoid driving, operating heavy machinery or performing other hazardous activity. Make sure that you have experienced the effect of the medicine before you undertake any activities which require full concentration. Avoid drinking alcohol while you are undergoing the Zoloft treatment. The combination between Zoloft and alcohol may provoke or worsen the side effect provoked by the medicine. Do not take other anti depressants or sedative pills in combination with Zoloft. If you need such drugs, consult with your doctor.

Safety Information

Although Zoloft is harmless medicine, the treatment course should be consistent with your overall health condition. Zoloft may be not suitable for you if you have kidney or liver disease; seizures or history of mania or psychological disorder which caused suicidal thoughts. In such case, your doctor may recommend you dose adjustment or a substitute medicine. Zoloft is in the FDA category C which means that it is not properly studied whether it will harm your unborn baby. It is also not known whether Zoloft influences the structure of the breast milk.If you intend to have a baby, you are pregnant or breast-feeding do not take Zoloft without consulting with your doctor first.

Side Effect

Our patients` reports show that Zoloft causes side effects rarely. The most serious side effect that you may experience as a result of the Zoloft treatment is the allergic reaction. The most common symptoms of an allergic reaction include hard breathing, swelling of the face, lips, eyelids and tongue as well as closing of the throat. Other serious negative symptoms that you may observe are: blood pressure disorder; irregular heart beat; fever; seizures; severe headache; vision disorders; unusual and disturbing dizziness or drowsiness. If you experience any of the mentioned symptoms, stop taking Zoloft and immediately seek for emergency medical aid. Zoloft may also cause some less disturbing reactions such as stomach upset (characterized mainly with nausea or diarrhea); overall nervousness or anxiety; sleep disorder; change in the appetite accompanied by sudden loss or gain of weight; decreased sex drive and stamina. The listed symptoms should not disturb you, usually they fade away by themselves in a couple of days. Do not discontinue the Zoloft treatment if you experience any of them. Keep your regular dose schedule and consult with your doctor.
