Wellbutrin SR Anti Depressant drug is taken only under your doctor`s prescription. It influences on the nerve cells and the brain and belongs to the class of antidepressants. It is recommended when the patient suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome, bipolar depression, and addiction to nicotine or cocaine, ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder). It is also used to treat lower back pain. Wellbutrin is not chemically related to other antidepressant agents as tetracyclic, tricyclic and selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor.

Wellbutrin is taken only if it is prescribed for you. Do not give it to other people, even if they have the same symptoms as you. Wellbutrin drug comes in a shape of a tablet, taken by mouth with liquid. It is not likely to provoke stomach upset. Take the pill at once, do not chew, crush or divide it. Do not stop taking the medicine at once; you need to gradually lower your dose, in order to avoid side effects. Your doctor will advise you about the term of treatment and proper dose, corresponding to your health condition. To experience the full effect of Wellbutrin, you need to take it regularly at least a few weeks.

To achieve best results, try not to miss your daily doses. If it happens, take the missed pill as soon as you remember it. If the time for the next regular schedule has come, or it will be in less than 4 hours, take only one pill. Do not overdose by trying to catch up.

Keep Wellbutrin SR in its original packing. Keep away from moisture and heat. Keep at a room temperature from 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F). Store where no children can reach it.

Do not overdose with Wellbutrin SR. Overdosing may lead to serious health problems. The symptoms of overdose are seizures, unconsciousness, hallucinations, extreme heart beat and even heart attack. If you suspect overdose, contact immediately your doctor or visit the local poison center.

Wellbutrin SR causes dizziness and drowsiness. Rise slowly to avoid possible fall. Better avoid performing any hazard activities and operate with heavy machines. It is recommended to reduce the caffeine during treatment with Wellbutrin SR.

Safety Information

Before start treatment with Wellbutrin SR, advise your doctor about your medical history. It may not be proper for you to take this antidepressant, in case you have suffered from brain tumor, liver or kidney disease, diabetes, addiction to alcohol, head injury, seizures, eating disorder or you plan to stop smoking. If you are alcohol dependent, the risk of experiencing seizures is higher. Wellbutrin causes drowsiness, dizziness and lack of coordination, which may interfere on your daily life. Avoid performing any hazard activities during treatment. Do not stop taking Wellbutrin at once. The dose should be gradually reduced, in order to avoid seizures. It is registered that this drug may harm an unborn baby and it passes into the breast milk. Do not use Wellbutrin SR if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or you are breast feeder. If you are over the age of 65 years, you are more prone to experience side effects.

Side Effect

Wellbutrin SR is very well absorbed by the organism. Side effects during treatment are rare reported. If the patient experience side effects, they are more likely to be: headache, dry mouth, constipation, vomiting, blurred vision, fatigue, abnormal sweating, dizziness, tremor, difficult urinating, sudden weight gain or loss, decreased sex drive, lack of concentration, slowed movements and muscle aches. If you notice something bothersome, any unusual symptoms, call your doctor immediately and ask for further assistance. Other possible side effects might be mental problems, seizures, fever, yellowing of the skin, difficult breathing, itching, skin rash, allergic reaction.
