Product Description

Paxil drug is prescribed in case of depression, panic disorder, social anxiety and other maniacal conditions. It is also known by the name of SSRI which means Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor antidepressant. The reaction of Paxil is upon the serotonin in the human’s brain which balance it restores. By keeping this balance the symptoms of depression are under control.

Paxil is taken only under doctor’s prescription. It is necessary to advice your doctor about your medical history before start taking this medicine. Do not Paxil with other antidepressants. Follow your doctor’s prescription strictly. The common dose is one tablet of Paxil per day taken for at least couple of weeks. The tablet is taken orally on a full or empty stomach. It is recommended to take your dose at the same time during the day. The treatment course is advised by your doctor. If the treatment period is more than a few months, do not stop Paxil at once but lower the dose gradually.

Try to take your daily dose at the same day time. Do not miss your daily dose. In case it happens take it as soon as you remember it. Do not overdose by trying to catch up.

Keep Paxil at a controlled temperature from 20 up to 25°C (68–77°F). Keep out of the reach of children, heat and moisture. Throw away when it is out of date.

Do not overdose with Paxil drug. Overdosing may lead to serious health problems. The most common symptoms of overdose are vomiting, tremor, enlarged pupils, drowsiness, hyperactivity, blurred vision and irregular heartbeat. If you suspect overdose, seek medical attention immediately.

Be aware that Paxil drug influence on your alertness and concentration. During treatment with Paxil avoid performing any hazard activities, operating with machines and actions which require your full attention. It is not advisable to combine Paxil with alcohol and other antidepressants.

Safety Information

Do not use Paxil if you are allergic to it or you have shown allergy to it in the past. Paxil may not be appropriate for you in case you suffer from kidney disease, seizures or have any suicidal thoughts. Before start treatment with Paxil advises your health provider about your medical history and he will prescribe you special dosage corresponding to your health condition. Do not take this drug if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant and you are breast feeder. It is considered that Paxil harms an unborn baby and causes hearth and lung problems in newborn babies.

Side Effect

The most common side effects during treatment with can be allergic reaction- swelling of the tongue, lips, face and hives. Other side effects can be irregular heartbeat, fever, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, fever, easy bruising or bleeding, strong headache. If you suffer any of the conditions listed above, stop taking Paxil and contact your doctor. In other cases such as insomnia, sleepiness, impotence, nausea, diarrhea, difficult having an orgasm no need to stop Paxil in needed. Tell your doctor about the problem and require medical supervision. Other side effects not listed here are also possible. If you notice something bothersome call your doctor for further assistance.
