Product Description

Flonase medicine treats congestion, runny nose and sneezing. It comes as nasal spray with spray pump at the top. It is easy for application and useful treatment in case of flu and fever.

Flonase Nasal Spray is used everyday for a certain period of time, which is determined by doctor or health provider. The usual daily dose is 200 mcg. It can be taken at once (100mcg of Flonase in each nostril) or two times by 100 mg (50 mcg of Flonase in each nostril). The effect of the medicine depends on how strictly the patient will take it. The dosage may be reduced after the first 3-5 days after the beginning of the treatment. Reduce the dose up to 100 mcg per day (1 dose of 50 mcg in each nostril). In case the patient suffers from seasonal allergic rhinitis and he/she is older than 12 years, the proper daily dose is 200 mcg and it can be applied as symptom controller. The cure doctor can decide if treatment with Flonase must be periodical or only once.

For best results of the treatment, try not to miss your daily doses. In case this happens, spray the missed dose as soon as you can. Do not spray more of the medicine than prescribed. On the next day turn back to your regular schedule.

Keep Flonase Nasal Spray in its original container, tightly closed and away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep at a temperature between 4° and 30°C (39° and 86°F).

There are not registered cases of overdose with Flonase. If you suspect overdose contact your doctor or the local poison center.

It is possible during treatment with Flonase, your immunity to be not at its best level. You might be more liable to infections, flu and allergies. Avoid communication with ill people; avoid dusty and dirty places and pets. Extra diseases may worsen your health condition.

Safety Information

Flonase may not be appropriate for you if you have any nasal infection, viral, fungal infection or bacterial one. This medicine can influence bad on your health condition in case you have any of the diseases listed above. Once Flonase is absorbed by your organism, your immune system can loose its ability to fight with the infection. Before start taking Flonase, inform your doctor. If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or you are a breast-feeder, avoid taking this drug. It belongs to FDA pregnancy category C and it is not know if it harms an unborn baby or passes into the breast milk. Do not treat children under the age of 4 with Flonase Nasal Spray.

Side Effect

Flonase Nasal Spray has very good adaptation with the organism. There are slight possibilities side effects to occur. In case it happens, seek immediately medical attention and stop taking Flonase. The most serious side effects might be allergic reaction with swelling of the lips, hives and throat, burning and stinging in the nose after sprayed, nose infection, bleeding nose, increased eye pressure, yeast infection, glaucoma, light headache, tearing of the eyes, asthma symptoms, perforated septum, loss of smell and taste because the receptors has been blocked by the drug, nasal stiffness and others.
