Drug Uses
Allegra-D is produced to threat allergic symptoms and relief their activity. It is mostly prescribed for sneezing, itchy nose or throat, watery or red eyes, nasal congestion and other allergic reactions. It is suitable for children over 12 years and adults.
How Taken
Before start taking Allegra-D, ask your doctor if it is suitable for you. Your doctor should prescribe you treatment and special dosage adjustment. The recommended dose is one pill twice a day, either by children and adults. By patients with decreased renal function, one pill per day is enough as a start. Better avoid taking Allegra –D with food, it can lead to stomach upset.
Missed Dose
It is very important not to overdose. If you have missed your regular schedule, take the pill as you as you can. If the time for the next one has come, take only one dose and do not try to catch up with double dose.
Storage
It is better to store Allegra-D at a normal room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C). Keep away of children reach. Throw away when it is out of date. Keep in a dry and dark place.
Overdose
Do not overdose when trying to catch up a missed dose. Overdose can cause headache, vomiting, sweating, thirst, precordial pain, giddiness, vomiting, anxiety, insomnia, muscular weakness, restless. More serious overdose symptoms are toxic psychosis, cardiac arrhythmias, circulatory collapse, convulsions, coma and respiratory failure. If you consider overdose, seek medical intention immediately.
More Information
Allegra-D causes drowsiness and dizziness. It may interfere in your daily activity. Be more careful when driving and operating with machines. Do not take Allegra-D when you take antacid that contains aluminum or magnesium, because it decreases its effect.

Do not take Allegra-D if it is not prescribed to you from your heath provider. You don not have to start taking Allegra-D in case of kidney diseases, high blood pressure, hearth problems. You will need special dosage adjustment and strict monitoring during treatment. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, tell your doctor before taking Allegra-D. It belongs to FDA category C and it is not registered if it can harm an unborn baby and if it passes into breast milk. Do not give Allegra-D to children under the age of 12.
